Julie Beck grew up on a farm near Zeeland, North Dakota. After graduating from Zeeland High School, she moved to Waco, Texas. There she obtained a degree in respiratory therapy and worked in Temple, Texas. After several years of doing traveling assignments as a respiratory therapist, Julie moved to South Dakota. While living in Ipswich, she worked as a respiratory therapist at Avera Hospital in Aberdeen, South Dakota, and also attended Northern State University in Aberdeen, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in accounting. Upon completion of college, Julie retired from respiratory therapy. She successfully completed the certified public account examination, however, she had decided that accounting was not the full time job which she wanted to do. She began working at the Faulk County Land & Title Company and shortly thereafter purchased the business. She is a certified abstractor and licensed real estate broker associate with her business primarily providing title insurance, closings, and real estate sales. Julie lives in Ipswich with her wonderful husband, Vaughn. They have 2 children. Emily is attending Northern State University and will be a senior in the fall of 2014. Philip will begin attending South Dakota State University in the fall of 2014.
